Vax Passports YES or NO

The Government has announced today that the Covid Traffic Light level will go down to Orange as from midnight tonight. This is great news for hospitality and means that for customers there are no restrictions. We're open and fully licensed right through Easter, including Good Friday & Easter Sunday so come and celebrate with us!

IMPORTANT HEALTH & SAFETY

Notwithstanding the new freedoms under Orange, we at CCK will still operate our Aura Air Purifier and Monitor 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We will also continue to take everyone's temperature upon arrival and maintain our high level of sanitation and hygiene. Many members have told us that have appreciated and been reassured by our strict adherence to having entry subject to vaccination passports being presented.

Yes. Continue with Vax passport.

No. Do away with Vax passports for entry.

See you at Easter!

Cheers

Carl & Chloe

yes continue with vax passports

Lose them, they do nothing. If people cant work out now that vax status means nothing, covid is the least of their concerns. Also a bit ironic to be that concerned now given the activities in swinging...

It doesn't bother us personally either way, but here are some (rounded) stats as of today:

  • 851,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NZ (Modellers suspect the actual number to be much higher)

  • 80% of New Zealanders are fully vaccinated.

  • 664,000 COVID-19 cases were either fully vaccinated or fully vaccinated with a booster (78% of confirmed cases)

  • Less than 1% of vaccinated cases required hospitalisation

  • 37,400 cases of COVID-19 who were eligible for the vaccine but were not vaccinated at the time.

  • 3% of unvaccinated cases required hospitalisation.

What is clear, is that being vaccinated does not prevent you from contracting COVID-19. How much the vaccine reduces you chance of catching and transmitting COVID-19 seems to vary from report to report, but by the rapid rate of spread of the Omicron variant amongst a heavily vaccinated population it would suggest that the vaccine has very limited effect in reducing the spread. Being vaccinated reduces your risk of being hospitalised.

COVID-19 is endemic in New Zealand with possibly more than 30% of the population having been infected. A piece of paper with a QR code will not/has not stopped its spread. While I feel it is now time for individual responsibility, I would support CCK's right as a private business to mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary. They already have a condom mandate in their premises to that point.

Luv2spoon, unfortunately despite this being a clear very open thinking society, the swinging scene, and despite that fact in 5 years or more we have NEVER had anyone say they have EVER been asked to prove they have no stds etc,

Yet happy to sticking their mouths and bits everywhere, people are still brain dead enough to think a vaccine pass is of any use to protecting them and insist on people being jabbed or they arent welcome, despite the facts! The mind boggles that cck even had to ask this given the nature of their busiess.

Why not have vaxxed and unvaxxed events? Oh wait, there is no way to prove you didn't get jabbed 🤣🤣 Would be interesting to see how that works out though 👀 No matter to us anyway, we have nothing to do with those who supported the mandates. Its a wonder people weren't asked wear arm bands. When tyranny becomes law, resistance becomes duty. Some were derelict in their duty.
