When I was nineteen, fit and hot and ready for anything The Beatles released "When I'm Sixty-four". A humorous little ditty whose subject matter seemed so far away, so remote I didn't really give it another thought. Boys and girls were lining up to have a piece of me. I was having the best time of my life.

Or so i thought. Well after a wonder filled adult life with wives and children and lovers and grandchildren too, aches and pains ,wins and losses, my sixties arrived and of course my 64th birthday rolled around.

I found myself singing the song. couldn't remember all the lyrics so googled and printed them out.

Losing my hair

Many years from now

Bottle of wine...........and on it goes.

Then it hit me. Never mind being nineteen and knowing nothing at 64 I was having a ball,  REALLY having a ball !!!! and In all honestly, I have to say, this decade has been the best of them all, the best sex, the best friends, freedom and time to pursue my interests, learning new crafts, constantly doing new things, pushing myself learning so much and giving as much of myself to others as I POSSIBLY CAN.
