Tauranga Casual

Hello Swingers

We have been talking to another couple and the idea popped up to have a casual night out once a month where like minded folk can catch up in Tauranga. Instead of running, up and down to Auckland and back or trying the impossible online meet in an attempt to get your buzz on. 

We are not suggesting a planned party\event but rather getting to know the locals over a beer\wine\coffee in a normal setting. Those who feel it's time to "rock'n roll" can then go do that at their leisure. 

We were more thinking, meet for drinks ( where you run your own tab) in The Strand area at a specific place and date and maybe the guys wear a purple tie to identify or the ladies do the flower in the hair thing. 

If the BOP\Tauranga\Mount locals could please forward some ideas on how we might accomplish this, that will be great. I am sure there is at least one couple like us here, who would like to just get out of the house one night a month or every two months. 

I suppose where we as a couple are coming from, we would like to meet some other couples. But there might be those of you who might like to meet some singles as well. 

As previously mentioned, some ideas would be great.

Yep, we are up for this.  Years ago there was something in Takapuna called BMAA (Broad Minded Adults Assoc) which was simply a no-playing meeting once a month.  It was $20 a couple, BYO and a small plate at a private home and we used to head up quite often from Tauranga.  It was a great no-pressure way for newbies to 'dip a toe' and was very popular.  Surprisingly very few left to run off for a session with new friends as these nights were always really good (non-play ing) fun.  That said, many followed up first meetings there with frantic sessions on another night ;)
It took dedication from the couple who ran these in their own home and they (amazingly) managed to do this for a couple of years until they departed for Aussie.

Just a reminder to all that there is a meet and greet with an option to play in tauranga 7/10/17. All details are on the forum. I hope we can facilitate regular meets in our new premises. 

That sounds like a great plan, we'd love to come if we could organise it.

Could be as simple as just naming a date/time/bar & having a pre advertised you on the table

Or naming the pool or area/address at a beach & having balloons to identify who etc.....
